Your share of every payment, within 24 hours.

When the client pays us (a deposit, a milestone, or the whole fee) your share of that payment is worked out and paid within 24 hours of it clearing. Smaller sites are usually paid in full up front, so a fixed fee lands in one go. Larger builds are paid in stages, and so are you.

The 50% rule

No single payout is more than 50% of the client payment it comes from.

50%of any one payment, at most

So a £500 fee needs a client payment of at least £1,000 to be paid in one go. Whatever the rule holds back is paid from the client’s next payment.

A booked call, not a lead.

A name, an email and a phone number isn’t a referral: anyone can collect those, and on their own they rarely turn into work. An introduction is registered to you when the business books its 15-minute call with Henry.

Introduction to payoutfour steps
  1. 01

    Introduce

    in your portal

The business, the person you know there, at least one public link and what they need. Only introduce people who've agreed to hear from us.

  2. 02

    Book the call

    15 min · video call

Book it together while you're on the phone, or send them their own booking page. The booked call registers the introduction to you; with none booked within 14 days, it lapses.

  3. 03

    Henry scopes it

    fixed price

If it's a fit, the client gets a written, fixed-scope proposal. You follow every status change in your portal.

  4. 04

    You're paid

    within 24h

Your share of each client payment as it clears. Work has to start within 12 months of the call; after that, every project that client does with us earns you a reward.

Why a call?

Because it’s a real action. It shows the business wants to talk, it gives Henry fifteen minutes to see whether we can genuinely help, and it means nobody is paid for a list of names.

First valid introduction wins. If someone has already introduced the business, your portal tells you it’s taken, not by whom.

Real businesses, with a public presence.

Every introduction needs at least one public link: a website, a public business record such as Companies House, or an active business social profile. For a brand-new business, the founder’s public profile will do.

Who can join

Anyone, based anywhere, except in Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba, where sanctions rules mean we can’t work with partners or clients. You’ll need your name, your country and one public profile link, so we know who we’re paying. We may also ask you to confirm a mobile number with a code.

What doesn’t count

  • Your own business, or your employer.
  • Anyone who hasn’t agreed to hear from us.
  • Hosting, care plans and VAT: the reward is on the project fee.
  • A business that’s already our client, or already talking to us about the same work.

The agent tier: run the conversation yourself.

Agents hold their own client meetings, agree the scope, and get our scope agreement signed in the portal. It’s application only, because an agent speaks to clients for us.

Agents can

  • Meet the client, on their own call or in person, and agree the scope of the work.
  • Quote the published price ranges from the agent price list.
  • Draft the scope agreement from our template; Henry prices it and sends it to the client to sign online.
  • Describe themselves as an agent of HG Studio, with their agent code.

Agents can’t

  • Agree or promise a price, a discount or a delivery date beyond the published ranges.
  • Sign anything on our behalf, or guarantee results.
  • Cold-spam, or use bought lists.
  • Keep the commission quiet: agents tell clients they’re independent and paid by us.
Becoming an agentfour steps
  1. 01

    Join as a referrer

    two minutes

Every agent starts with an ordinary account.

  2. 02

    Apply from your portal

    two links or more

At least two of your website, LinkedIn, GitHub or Facebook (a business listing helps), plus who you are, your sales or business experience, the regions and sectors you'd cover, how you'd find clients, and acceptance of the agent code of conduct.

  3. 03

    Henry decides

    AI-assisted

An AI model reads your public links and gives Henry an advisory score. It never decides: Henry reads every application and makes the call himself.

  4. 04

    Your agent code

    public check

Approved agents get an agent code and a public verification page any client can check. If an agent is suspended, the page says so straight away.

Checkable by any client

Each agent has a public page at hg.studio/referrals/agent/ followed by their code. It shows their name, company and country, what an agent may and may not do, and how to reach Henry directly.

Breaking the code of conduct means suspension, and the page then says the person is not an active agent.

  • 04 Every payment itemised

Your portal shows each client payment by its stage and date, your share of it, when it’s due and when it was paid, with the reference. Referrers see their own fee, not the client’s price; agents also see the amounts on their own projects.

The questions people ask before joining.

Q1How much will I earn?

As a referrer, £250 on projects under £2,000 and £500 on projects £2,000 and over. Agents, on introductions they run themselves (the agent route), earn the same fixed fees below £5,000; from there it's a percentage of the project fee, 10% at £5,000, rising evenly to 25% at £10,000, and 25% above that. An introduction an agent hands to Henry's intro call earns the referrer fee. Rewards are worked out on the one-off project fee, before VAT.

Q2When do I get paid?

Within 24 hours of each client payment clearing with us: deposits, milestones and payments in full alike. If the client pays in stages, so do we. Payouts go by UK bank transfer, IBAN transfer, Revolut or Wise, in pounds sterling.

Q3Why might a payout be smaller than my fee?

Because no single payout is more than 50% of the client payment it comes from. A £500 fee needs a client payment of at least £1,000 to be paid in one go; whatever the rule holds back is paid from the client's next payment.

Q4What if the client only ever pays a deposit?

Then you're paid your share of what they actually paid. Your share follows the money that arrives, so we never pay out on money we haven't received.

Q5What counts as a referral?

A booked call. Introduce the business in your portal, then get its 15-minute call with Henry booked, together while you're on the phone or by sending them their own booking page. A name and a phone number on their own don't count. An introduction with no call booked within 14 days lapses.

Q6What if someone else introduced them first?

The first valid introduction wins. If the business has already been introduced, the portal tells you so, without saying by whom. Once your introduction is registered, it's yours if work starts within 12 months of the call.

Q7Do follow-on projects count?

Yes, for as long as they're our client. Once work on the first project has started, every new project that client signs with us earns you a reward too, on the same table. Hosting and care plans don't count, and nor does VAT.

Q8What happens if a client gets a refund?

Your share of the refunded payment is deducted from your next payout. We never ask you to pay money back, except in cases of fraud.

Q9Can I join from outside the UK?

Yes. Partners can be based anywhere except Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba. You're paid in pounds sterling; we cover our own sending fees, and any receiving or conversion fees your bank or provider charges are yours.

Q10Do I pay tax on what I earn?

You're responsible for declaring and paying any tax on what you earn, wherever you're based. Your portal itemises every payment against the client payment it came from, and we'll give you a statement of everything we've paid you.

Q11Can I introduce my own business, or my employer?

No. Self-referrals, including your employer, aren't eligible. If you'd like to work with us yourself, book a call with Henry directly.

Q12How do I become an agent?

Join as a referrer, then apply from your portal with at least two public links (your website, LinkedIn, GitHub or Facebook) and a few short answers about your experience and how you'd find clients. An AI model gives Henry an advisory read of your links; Henry makes every decision himself.

Q13How are my bank details protected?

They're encrypted before they're stored, and your portal only ever shows a masked hint. Changing them needs a fresh code from your email, and we email you whenever they change.

Q14Where are the full terms?

In the programme terms (version 2026-10-11), which you accept when you join. They’re short, numbered, and in plain English.

Know a business that needs this?

Join in two minutes, introduce them from your portal, and get their call with Henry in the diary.
