For bike shopsA decade in the trade before software

Software for independent bike shops, built by someone from the trade.

Websites with workshop booking, servicing reminders wired onto what you already run, and bespoke EPOS when the shop has outgrown the off-the-shelf tools. Priced honestly, and we will tell you when Citrus-Lime or Hubtiger is the right answer.

The tools were built for retail in general. A bike shop is not retail in general.

Serial-numbered stock in three sizes and four colours, a workshop that is the fastest-growing line, distributors each with their own portal, and an owner who is also the head mechanic. This is where the generic tools give up.

EPOS & stock
Generic retail tills and spreadsheets do not model a bike: serial numbers, size/colour/model-year variants, build sheets. Stock counts drift and the website shows things you sold on Saturday.
Workshop booking
Paper diaries, WhatsApp and the phone are still how most shops book the fastest-growing part of the business. No-shows and admin time are the complaint every workshop tool exists to fix.
Reminders
Service-due and warranty-window reminders are rarely systematic, so the repeat servicing revenue that should be automatic depends on whether anyone remembered.
Click & collect
Online stock needs to match the shop floor in near-real time, and most off-the-shelf ecommerce needs a cycle-specific layer bolted on to get close.
B2B ordering
A different portal per distributor, or the phone. The distributors with live integrations are a short list; a unified view is rarer still.

A 30-minute call and a one-page written note on the till, the workshop diary, the website and what talks to what. If the honest answer is “use Citrus-Lime” or “Hubtiger does that for $49 a month”, the note says so.

HG.Studio built our website and it's brought a steady stream of new faces into the shop for repairs and servicing. Working with Henry was so straightforward we've signed up for the big one: a custom EPOS and ecommerce system built around how the shop actually runs.

I punch in a reg and the bike's details and MOT history fill themselves in, while the eBay shop ticks along beside it. When a bike lands, the system already knows who was asking after one like it.

All client work and results

Built by someone who has spent years on your side of the counter.

Before software
A decade in the UK cycling trade: shops, brands and distributors. Henry knows what a Saturday in the workshop looks like and why the till matters more than the website.
Since
Two decades building for the web, eight years rebuilding document and data systems inside an FCA- and SRA-regulated legal group, three in the NHS. Websites, automation, AI systems and shipped apps for UK businesses.
How we work
Three builds a quarter. Henry leads every one; specialists in design, data and AI, SEO and iOS join on contract as the scope demands. You own the repository from day one.
Continuity
Documented to a standard a third party could pick up, a named backup developer in the contract, and care-plan response times in writing.

About Henry and the studio

Questions, answered.

Should I just use Citrus-Lime?
Often, yes. If you are a single-site shop with fairly standard stock and you want a cloud till and web shop from about £63.50 a month, Citrus-Lime is the sensible answer and the Shop Systems Check will say so in writing. Bespoke earns its keep when the shop has outgrown the tool: multiple sites, stock the tool cannot model, or a workflow the shop refuses to bend around.
What about Hubtiger or Bikebook for the workshop?
If workshop booking is the only gap, use one of them; Hubtiger starts at around $49 a month and Bikebook is UK-based with distributor integrations. A £5,000 CRM does not win that comparison and we will not pretend it does. The Reminders Bolt-on is designed to sit on top of whichever you run, using its export, rather than replace it.
When does a bespoke EPOS make sense?
When the shop is multi-site or clearly growing, when serial-numbered and variant-heavy stock is causing real errors, when B2B ordering across distributors is eating hours, or when the owner wants the system built around the shop rather than the shop around the system. SunCycles commissioned theirs after the website had already paid for itself in servicing customers.
What does the free Shop Systems Check involve?
A 30-minute call, then a one-page note: what you run today, what is costing you time or sales, what we would change first, and where the honest recommendation is an off-the-shelf tool rather than us. No charge and no obligation; it is offered to shops in the cycling trade because it is the most useful thing we can do with that network.
Do you take on every shop that asks?
No. We take on three builds a quarter so that Henry leads every one of them. A deposit holds a named start slot and every proposal says which month that is. If the slot is January, the proposal says January.
Who actually does the work?
Henry Goff leads every build and remains the accountable name from the first call to the care plan. Contract specialists in design, data and AI, SEO and iOS join as the scope demands. You own the code and the repository from day one, the build is documented to a standard a third party could pick up, and the contract names a backup developer.

Thirty minutes on the phone, one page in writing.

Tell us what the shop runs today and where it hurts. You get a written note with what we would change first and what we would leave alone, even if that means recommending someone else’s software.
