PDF Toolkit
Merge PDFs into one file or split out exactly the pages you need — processed entirely in your browser, so your documents never leave your device.
Most online PDF tools work by uploading your document to a server, processing it there, and hoping you trust whatever happens next. That's a bad deal for contracts, payslips, medical records, or anything else you'd rather keep to yourself. This toolkit does the work with JavaScript running locally on your machine — your files are read, merged, and split in your browser's memory and never travel over the network.
Drop in several PDFs to combine them, reorder the list before merging, or load a single file and pull out just the pages you need. Page ranges preserve the order you type, and the split-everything option packages each page as its own PDF in a ZIP. When you close the tab, nothing is left behind anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. Merging and splitting happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your files never leave your device. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline. You can verify this yourself in your browser's network tab.
Why is my password-protected PDF refused?
Encrypted PDFs can't be processed safely in the browser, so the tool refuses them rather than producing a broken file. This includes PDFs that open without a password but restrict copying or printing — those use encryption too. Unlock the file in your PDF viewer first (for example, save an unlocked copy), then try again.
Is there a file size or page limit?
Each file can be up to 100MB, and there's no hard page limit. Because everything runs in your browser's memory, very large jobs depend on your device's RAM — the tool shows a warning when a merge goes past 200MB combined.
How do page ranges work?
Type pages and ranges separated by commas, like 1-3, 5, 7-9. Pages come out in exactly the order you write them, so 5, 1-2 puts page 5 first — a quick way to reorder a document. Repeating a page number duplicates that page.
